Carol McAtee is the principal shareholder of McAtee & Associates,
CPAs, PA. The firm is centrally located in St. Petersburg, Florida
where they share the same business philosophy and dedication of
providing quality service to their clients.
Mrs. McAtee is a resident of St. Petersburg and received her
accounting degree from the University of Toledo where she graduated with
honors. Mrs. McAtee was formerly with the international accounting
firm of Ernst & Young, tax division,bringing over 25 years
experience in the accounting field. As an auditor and tax professional
of the firm, she served clients in various industries, including the
construction industry, banking, manufacturing, publication, hospitals,
service, and non-profit entities.
In order to diversify her experience she became chief financial
officer for a diverse private holding group, responsible for all
financial issues, tax filings, relationships with bankers and bonding
companies, managed complete accounting staffs, related to the operations
of the various entities, as well as the planning for acquisitions and
dispositions of the various companies.
She formed her firm in 1989 where she has been involved in numerous
associations and professional organizations. Specialties and services
include outsourced CFO duties and responsibilities, mergers and
acquisitions, taxes, financial planning, international tax issues,
audits, and reorganizations. Client industries serviced include
technology, sales, service, medical, gambling facilities, hospitality,
entertainment, non-profit, financial services, and construction. She
and her staff have very diverse experience in order to handle any
accounting or tax project.
Mrs. McAtee is affiliated with American Institute of CPAs, Florida
Institute of CPAs, Small Business Womens Association, National Society
of Tax Professionals, Business Brokers of Florida. Her involvement has
proven to be beneficial with all affiliations.
While she possesses the technical training, resources and experience
often associated with the large international firms, her mission is to
translate complex financial information in a manner that is easily
understood and beneficial to her clients. Carol performs her services
